A Cooling Castle Barn wedding

Whilst I'm continuing my backlog of blogging the weddings that I never got around to do, I wanted to blog this beautful wedding at Cooling Castle Barn.

One sunny summers day in July, Rebecca and James got married at the beautiful Cooling Castle Barn in Kent surrounded by their family and friends.

Such a beautiful day filled with lots of love, laughs, personal handmade touches and an Oyster man.
Rebecca surprised James, and his love for oysters, with the Oyster Meister, which gave everyone a chance to try one.

Cooling Castle Barn looked stunning, with venue decor from Confetti Connections and flowers from West Malling Flowers
I
loved their cake too, which if you looked carefully, you would see little surprises. The cake was made by the very clever Delicious Occasions

I loved capturing Rebecca and James wedding day, such a beautiful day!!

Wedding photography at Horsley Towers

So, Spring is in the air (although currently as I type this it's dull, damp and grey) and I thought I would at last blog this beautiful wedding I shot in the Spring of 2016 at the most stunning Horsley Towers in Surrey - a wedding venue that will always be my favourite and holds a special place in my heart as it's the venue where I got married!! I just love it.

I actually coudn't wait to photograph Kirsty and Ed's wedding!! On the day itself I felt quite giddy as I drove down the driveway to Horsley Towers. It really is such a beautiful venue. I'm proud to say that there is one of my wedding albums on display there too.

I started the day with the bride and groom's preparations and I finished with everyone on the dancefloor - even the grandparents were rocking!!! Loved it!
It really was the most perfect day, the sun was shining, the blossom was out in bloom and everyone was is such good spirits!!

Bride and Groom

2017......

My 2017 weddings rounded up in just 3minutes!!
2017 was such a great year for weddings. I'm so lucky to have such fantastic couples who allow me and trust me to capture their day!
So, in 2017 I visited lots of wedding venues for the first time, wedding venues in Kent, Essex and Hertfordshire, fell in love with wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and a red Mustang. I oooh'd and aaah'd over bride's shoes and amazing wedding cakes and beautiful floral displays. I also helped dress some brides, some grooms and cried a few times over speeches!
I am so lucky to be doing a job that I love - even after 20years of doing it!!! It's such a priviledge to capture and share a couple's wedding day. Providing memories to look at for years!

I love my job!!

Now, bring on the 2018 weddings!

A beautiful racing themed wedding at Brandshatch Place Hotel...

So, Janine and Will's wedding was every kind of awesome!!

When Janine and Will booked me to photograph their day, I had a little racing car with the numbers 01 & 07 in my studio......it was meant to be! Their love of racing had led them to have their wedding at Brandshatch Place Hotel!

Their wedding consisted off....a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, a stunning Mustang, gorgeous Irregular Choice shoes, amazing place name cards complete with individual toy cars that the guest had either had owned or wishes to own, an (unintentional) surprise flyover by a Spitfire - which is what Will and his dad flew last year - and to top it off a fantastic live band (The Dukes) for the evening reception!

It was a pleasure to spend the day with them and their guests, I had a great time!

Here is a little sneaky peak!

Michelle and Adam's wedding at Ferry House Inn

Last April saw the fabulous wedding of Michelle and Adam, which took place at the gorgeous Ferry House Inn, Isle of Sheppey.

I knew Adam and Michelle as we met a few years previous when I had photographed Adam’s sister’s wedding at Brandshatch Place Hotel however we then met again about a year before their wedding at the Bluewater Wedding Fair where we all had a chat about their plans and arranged a consultation.

Fast forward to their pre-wedding shoot, which we did at the Ferry House Inn on a cold, grey windy day. It was such a funny morning, I knew instantly that the wedding day would be a fun day filled with lots of laughs!

On the wedding day, we met the couple at the cottages on Mocketts Farm which are linked to the Ferry House for bride and groom preparations.
Adam then made his way to the Ferry House Inn to get ready with his best man whilst Michelle and her bridesmaids all stayed in the cottage getting ready – drinking prosecco and laughing, a lot!

I love to photograph the preparations, I stay in the background whilst capturing the little moments, the details, the first look of the bride in her dress! I love it!
There were lots of little details to capture, most important were Michelle’s ah-mazing wedding shoes!! Sparkly, yellow Irregular Choice shoes. But not just one pair of shoes, TWO pairs of Irregular Choice shoes. The second pair were for the evening and were fantastic! See the photo with the flat shoes, with dogs on them….yeah, them! Amazing!

Once Michelle was in her dress and had taken a few selfies with her bridesmaids, it was time to have a few photos before she left to go and get herself married!

Adam was waiting patiently with his mates, if he was nervous he certainly didn’t look it.  They had time to sit and have a drink whilst guests started to arrive.
