With Storm Ciara and Storm Denis battering the UK this month, we need some beautiful sunshine right?!
Chris and Nana’s beautiful summer wedding in Sussex brought together the English and African fusion perfectly. The material was shipped over from Africa especially. The African colours were used in their chair covers, the cake and in their flowers looked simply stunning, so vibrant!!
It was my first time as a Bannatyne Spa Hotel wedding photographer and it didn’t disappoint! With lots of space and beautiful grounds which compliment a beautiful summers day beautifully.
Nana was my first bride, in over 21years, to actually have 2 wedding dresses to decide upon on the morning of her wedding. When I arrived for the bridal preparations, she hadn’t yet decided on which dress she was to wear for the day.
Once I had photographed the bridal preparations I made my way from Hastings, to the beautiful church in Battle. I arrived just as Chris and his best man arrived which was good timing as we managed to grab a few portraits before everyone else started to arrive.
Chris eventually made his way into the church to await the arrival of his bride…who arrived and was escorted on the arm of her brother surrounded by her gorgeous bridesmaids.
Ceremony over, it was time to venture into the warm sunshine. I never leap on my couples as the exit from the ceremony, I like to give them some time to digest what has just happened which then gives me time to document the congratulations, the guests and the ‘hello’s’.
Once we did a few group photographs at the church, it was time to be showered in confetti – I always say the more confetti the better!! Their guests didn’t disappoint – Chris’s face was a picture, literally!!
Back to Bannatynes hotel in Hastings, it was time to chill with a drink (the Bride and Groom and their guests, not me!) before I stole them for a few more photographs before the wedding breakfast and speeches……and then it was time for the dancing – which was fab!! Some serious shapes were being thrown on the dancefloor just before I left everyone to enjoy the evening celebrations!
(Apologies for the random order of photographs)
